2nd House

The 2nd House governs personal resources: money, possessions, financial skills, the body as a resource, and — most fundamentally — values. It describes what you consider worth having, worth building toward, and worth protecting. It is the house of self-worth made tangible.

For many people in practice this involves money; but the psychological root is self-worth — the sense that you deserve to have what sustains you. Venus here creates natural talent for attracting resources and aesthetic refinement in possessions; Saturn demands disciplined financial management and can create significant material lessons; Mars brings earning drive but may create impulsive spending; Jupiter typically expands both income and expense; Pluto often brings intense transformations in financial circumstances — loss followed by rebuilding, or association with others' wealth.

Healthy 2nd House integration means developing a clear sense of your genuine values — what actually matters to you, independent of social programming — and building a material life that reflects those priorities.
