Square

The Square (90°) forms between planets approximately 90° apart — typically in the same modality (cardinal, fixed, or mutable) but different elements. It is a hard aspect representing friction, tension, and the productive pressure to resolve internal conflicts. Squares are among the most dynamic configurations in astrology: uncomfortable to carry, extraordinary for development.
