Sextile

The Sextile (60°) forms between planets approximately 60° apart — typically across compatible but different elements (fire with air, earth with water). It is a soft, harmonious aspect representing opportunity, stimulation, and the natural flow of cooperation between two energies. Unlike the Trine, the Sextile requires some conscious activation to realize its potential.

Natal Sextiles describe areas where different parts of the personality support one another with relative ease — where two planetary themes can be combined productively without significant friction. With an orb of approximately 5-6°, Sextiles are active opportunities: they show what is possible when intention meets natural aptitude. They tend to generate ideas, connections, and collaborative momentum.

Sextile energy is intellectually creative and forward-moving. Planets in Sextile have a stimulating relationship — each activates the other's potential when intentionally engaged. The energy is lighter and more social than the Trine's deep harmony; Sextiles create useful contacts between creative, intellectual, and practical dimensions of the personality.
