Scope and who is responsible
AstrowlAI operates the services covered by this policy and is responsible for deciding how personal information is used. This policy covers visitors, registered account holders, people using our chart and report tools, and anyone who contacts us.
A third-party website or service linked from AstrowlAI has its own privacy practices. This policy does not govern those services.
Information we collect
The information we receive depends on the feature you choose. You may browse public pages without creating an account.
- Account information: your email address, authentication status, language preference, and records needed to keep your account secure. If you choose Google sign-in, we receive the basic account details needed to authenticate you.
- Birth and chart information: name or label, birth date, birth time, birthplace selection, coordinates, timezone, house system, and the chart inputs and outputs needed for the requested calculation.
- Saved and purchased content: saved charts, report orders, access records, generated private reports, and calendar settings where those features are available.
- Contact information: the name, email address, topic, and message you choose to send through the contact form.
- Technical information: essential cookie and session identifiers, request timing, browser or device characteristics, and limited security or error records. We design logs to exclude birth data, email addresses, private tokens, place searches, message contents, and private report content.
How we use information
We use personal information only for defined service, security, communication, and legal purposes.
- Calculate and display natal charts, relationship charts, interpretations, reports, and other features you request.
- Create and protect accounts, send sign-in links, maintain saved content, and provide account support.
- Process contact requests and send service messages you ask for or that are necessary to operate the service.
- Detect abuse, investigate errors, maintain reliability, and defend the service and its users.
- Meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
Why we are allowed to use it
Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, the basis depends on the context: performing a contract or taking requested steps to provide a feature; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service; your consent for optional communications or device access; and compliance with legal obligations.
You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it.
Astrology calculations and automated output
AstrowlAI uses deterministic chart calculations and rule-based interpretation to produce requested outputs. These tools are intended for personal reflection and entertainment. They do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you and are not medical, psychological, financial, employment, or other professional advice.
A chart result can be affected by the accuracy of the birth date, time, place, timezone, and settings you provide. You can choose whether to save eligible results to an account.
Storage and retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose described, to protect the service, or to meet legal requirements. Retention therefore differs by data type.
- Anonymous chart sessions are encrypted and designed to expire after a short period, normally about one hour. They are not stored as permanent account records.
- Birth Time Check inputs and detailed results are not designed to be stored as product records by default.
- Account profiles, saved charts, private reports, and calendar settings may remain while your account or the relevant feature is active, until you delete them or ask us to do so, subject to security, dispute, and legal exceptions.
- Authentication, session, and private subscription tokens are stored as hashes rather than readable token values wherever the feature requires persistent verification.
- Contact correspondence is retained for the time reasonably needed to answer, follow up, maintain a support history, or address legal and security needs.
- Limited records may remain temporarily in protected backups after deletion and are removed through the normal backup lifecycle.
International processing
AstrowlAI and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy laws can differ across jurisdictions. Where applicable law requires it, we use recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual or technical safeguards intended to protect the information.
You can contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your data.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the service. These include access controls, secure and HttpOnly authentication cookies outside development, encryption for private stored chart payloads, hash-only token storage, redaction of sensitive log fields, and private pages that are not intended for search indexing.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep private chart and calendar links confidential, use an email account you control, and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to access your information; correct inaccurate information; obtain a portable copy; request deletion; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority.
To make a request, email us from the address associated with your account where possible. We may need to verify your identity and may retain or decline part of a request where the law permits. We will explain the reason when required.
Children’s privacy
AstrowlAI is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to the processing of their personal information. Do not create an account or submit another person’s birth information unless you have the authority and any consent required by applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide a more prominent notice or request renewed consent where required.
